Privacy Policy

Effective 9 September 2026 · Version 2026-09-09

This policy explains how Answer Genomics Private Limited ("NuGenomics", "we") handles personal information, including health information, in connection with our health report service. It applies to our website and platform, and should be read with our Terms & Conditions.

1. Two different roles

Our service is used by clinics, laboratories, wellness businesses and healthcare professionals (our "Customers"), who upload laboratory documents relating to their own patients.

  • For a Customer's own account information— name, email, phone, business details, billing records — we decide how that information is used, and we are responsible for it.
  • For patient health informationuploaded by a Customer, the Customer decides the purpose and remains responsible for it, including for obtaining the patient's consent. We handle that information only on the Customer's instructions, in order to produce the report they have requested.

2. Information we handle

CategoryExamples
Account informationName, email address, phone number, business name, role, password (kept only in encrypted form)
Health informationLaboratory documents uploaded by a Customer and the results they contain, together with details such as the patient's name, age, sex and physical measurements needed to interpret them
ReportsThe health reports generated from that information
Billing informationWallet balance, transactions, invoices, GST details where provided. Card and bank details are handled entirely by our payment gateway partner and never reach us
Technical informationLog records of access to the service, used to keep it secure and working

3. Why we handle it

  • To provide the service: reading uploaded documents and generating reports.
  • To operate accounts, process payments and issue invoices.
  • To provide support and respond to queries.
  • To keep the service secure, detect misuse and prevent fraud.
  • To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use uploaded health information for advertising, and we do not use it to train artificial-intelligence models.

4. Automated analysis

Reports are generated automatically. This includes cloud-based artificial intelligence services that read the uploaded document and produce explanatory text. Our service providers are bound by contract to use the information only to provide that processing to us, and not for their own purposes or model training. A report is informational and is not a medical diagnosis; see our Terms & Conditions.

5. Who we share it with

We share information only where necessary, and only with:

  • Service providerswho help us run the platform — secure cloud infrastructure and hosting, cloud-based artificial intelligence processing, our payment gateway partner, and email delivery. They act on our instructions under contract.
  • Your own organisation— where a reseller introduced your account, limited commercial information such as your business name and volume of reports may be visible to them for billing and commission purposes. Patient health information is not shared with resellers.
  • Authorities— where we are required to by law, or to establish or defend legal claims.

Some of our service providers operate infrastructure outside India. Where information is handled outside India, we require contractual protections consistent with applicable law.

6. Retention

We keep account information, uploaded documents, generated reports and billing records for as long as the account remains active, and thereafter only for as long as we need them to meet legal, tax, accounting or dispute-resolution requirements. A Customer may ask us to delete specific uploaded documents or reports, and we will do so unless we are required to retain them.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect information, including encryption in transit, encryption of stored information, access controls that limit who can see what, passwords kept only in encrypted form, and time-limited links for report downloads. No system can be guaranteed completely secure; if a breach affecting your information occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

8. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to give you access to the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is inaccurate, delete it, or withdraw a consent you have given. Where a request concerns patient information uploaded by a Customer, the patient should contact that Customer, who is responsible for it; we will assist the Customer in responding.

To make a request, write to support@nugenomics.in.

9. Children

Accounts may only be created by adults. Where a Customer uploads a document relating to a minor, the Customer must have the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian before doing so.

10. Cookies

We use only the storage strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

11. Grievance Officer

If you have a concern about how your information has been handled, contact our Grievance Officer, who will acknowledge your complaint and respond within the period required by law:
